Rodo Padilla is one of the most recognized Master Artisans in Guadalajara, Mexico,
with a fantastic and ingenuous talent to create unique and beautiful ceramic
sculptures.
He specializes in high temperature stoneware but some of his most popular designs are also available in bronze. His career started as an Industrial Engineer in 1977. From 1981 to 1990 he studied ceramics design and research in materials in Tokyo and Nagoya, Japan, in Buenos Aires, Argentina, and Faenza Italy. He begins in 1992 to display his magical talent in solo exhibitions in Mexico and around the world, earning two times the first place in the Mexican National Ceramics Prize. Rodo has his workshop in Tlaquepaque, Jalisco, Mexico. For the excellency in the design and production of his unique and beautiful pieces, Rodo has received the classification as Master Artisan of México.
